A new NAUROBO kit “Technology, design and mechanisms” has been developed and released
The Scientific Entertainment company continues to expand its line of educational kits for robotics and electronics.
A wide variety of mechanical and electronic devices are used in science and technology. The new set allows you to get acquainted with a construction set from which you can assemble working models of many of them.
NAUROBO set "Technology, design and mechanisms" is designed to teach design and research skills by constructing common mechanical connections, followed by programming them using a block programming language (based on the Scratch language), and studying their properties using sensor systems.
The child will get acquainted with simple mechanical devices and learn to control their movement parameters using sensors. The assembled devices are controlled using a block programming language via an Arduino-compatible control board.
Conducting classes with set provide acquisition and development of skills in working with the control board based on Arduino and block programming language. As part of these works, students will learn to assemble simple devices and create simple programs.
Working with set allows you to get acquainted with many devices, such as:
— Four-link mechanism (bicyclist example)
— Cardan transmission
— Cam mechanism. Da Vinci's hammer
- Scottish mechanism
— Modeling the movements of the mantis shrimp
— Car differential
The suggested order of assembling the models in the set assumes that during lessons, students will work in pairs and learn to:
— Practical application of the principle of modularity
— Assembly of working prototypes of common mechanisms from universal, rather than uniquely specialized parts
— Design skills, including the correct selection of component layouts taking into account dimensional requirements, decision making when using non-standard parts, and minimizing the number of parts in an assembly
The material in the methodological manual is presented according to the principle "From simple to complex" and contains recommendations for organizing classes during which students will measure the parameters of movement of mechanisms and perform their software processing.
New NAUROBO set "Technology, design and mechanisms" adapted and included in the list of educational equipment for equipping and modernizing schools (Order No. 838 of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation dated November 28.11.2024, XNUMX) as Basic robotics kit.
