Purpose
The kit is designed for practical work on determining the magnitude of the horizontal component of the Earth's magnetic field using a tangent galvanometer.

Areas of knowledge and application
The device consists of a coil connected to a DC power source. When the DC power source is turned on, a magnetic field is generated in the coil. A compass with a magnetic needle and a scale for measuring the rotation angle is located in the center of the coil. The compass is mounted so that the scale line coincides with the plane of the coil. To avoid distorting the measured magnetic field, the kit's stand is made of non-magnetic materials.
This set allows you to conduct experiments with magnetic fields and study their features without interference from external factors. This is very convenient for scientific and educational purposes.
